Two individuals were recently arrested for stealing items at a local store, according to reports.

Both theft reports from the County Sheriff’s Office took place at the Walmart store in the town of Cortlandville.

The first arrest on Sunday involved Dawn M. Radel, 32, of Cortlandville. According to the report, Radel “failed to render payment for merchandise” before exiting Walmart.

Radel left Walmart in her vehicle before officers conducted a traffic stop on Route 281 in Cortlandville, the report noted. She was arrested and charged with petit larceny – a Class-A Misdemeanor.

The second arrest occurred last Tuesday and involved Ommar R. Watson, 22, of the town of Rosedale.

According to the report, Watson “failed to scan multiple items of merchandise at a self-checkout terminal” before exiting Walmart.

Watson was arrested and charged with petit larceny – a Class-A Misdemeanor.

Radel and Watson were each arraigned, processed and released on one’s own recognizance. Both are scheduled to appear in Cortlandville town court at a later date.
