A man was recently arrested for assaulting an individual with a blunt weapon, according to a report.
Adam R. Root, 40 of the town of Harford “struck” an individual on the head with a baseball bat, causing injuries. According to a report from the Cortland County Sheriff’s Office, Root knows the individual.
Root was charged with fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon (a Class-A Misdemeanor) and second-degree assault (a Class-D Felony).
Root was arraigned and sent to Cortland County Jail without bail. He is due to appear in Harford town court at 5 p.m. June 7.
