High pressure will move off the coast of New England today, allowing milder air to build in after a cold and frosty start to the day.

Light south winds will develop this morning and blow at speeds around 5 mph throughout the daytime hours.

Combined with plenty of sunshine, these winds will help temperatures rise rapidly this morning.

By the time they reach their high this afternoon, the temperature will be around 35 degrees warmer than this morning. This translates to highs in the low and mid 60s.

Skies will remain mostly clear tonight, but the south wind will only increase. Wind speeds will build to near 10 mph this evening, and then slightly over 10 mph during the overnight.

This will keep temperatures much warmer tonight and keep frost completely out of the picture.

Evening temperatures will drop to the mid and upper 40s and overnight lows will end up in the low 40s.

Here is a look at the weather for the next few days:

Friday: Gradually increasing clouds. Morning lows in the low 40s. Afternoon highs in the low 70s.

Saturday: Mostly cloudy with rain likely during the late afternoon. Morning lows in the upper 40s. Afternoon highs in the mid 60s.

Sunday: Plenty of sunshine. Morning lows in the mid 40s. Afternoon highs near 70.

Monday: Sunny but colder. Morning lows in the low 40s. Afternoon highs near 60.
