Cortland County’s law enforcement agencies will participate in the STOP-DWI Memorial Day Weekend High Visibility Engagement Campaign.

The Cortland County Sheriff’s Office, the City of Cortland Police Department and the Village of Homer Police Department will be involved in the campaign and will go from this Friday to Monday. The campaign aims to further reduce the incidence of drunk and impaired driving.

The campaign is one of many statewide initiatives promoted by STOP-DWI New York and Governor Kathy Hochul’s traffic safety committee. The campaign will also target Fourth of July, Labor Day, Halloween, Thanksgiving and the Holiday Season this year.
