Cortland County is set to honor Pride Month in the area.
The county officially proclaimed the month of June as Pride Month in a small ceremony on Wednesday at The Cortland LGBTQ Center.

Pride Month dedicates the celebration and commemoration of lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) pride.
In attendance for the proclamation was Michael Doughty, coordinator of The Cortland LGBTQ Center; Lisa Hoeschele, executive director of Family & Children’s Counseling Services; and county legislator Susan Wilson (D-LD-5) and legislative minority leader Beau Harbin (D-LD-2).
