Homer boys lacrosse moves on in sectional play

Homer Boys Lacrosse Team.

The No.4 seeded Homer Trojans won 13-9 in their first sectional game of the postseason against  No.5 seeded Cazenovia/Chittenango/Morrisville-Eaton Wednesday night. Homer will move on to the semifinal round of the Section III Class C playoff tournament. 

Throughout the game, Homer was led by Hunter Riehlman (3 goals & 3 assists), Alexander Votra (3 goals & 1 assist), Reid Partis (1 goal & 1 assist), Daniel Stiles (2 goals), Evan Butts (1 goal), and Sam Sorenson (2 goals). 

Cazenovia/Chittenango/Morrisville-Eaton was led by Brendon Barnard (4 goals), Forrest Ives (2 goals & 2 assists), Ben Bianco (2 goals), DB Falge (1 goal), and Thomas Navin (1 assist). 

Homer goalie Benjamin Bradshaw made a total of 14 saves in the game, while Tucker Ives recorded 12 saves for Cazenovia/Chittenango/Morrisville-Eaton.

The No.4 seeded Trojans are scheduled to play in the semifinal round of the sectional tournament against top seeded Jamesville-Dewitt. The game will be played on Friday (May 26th) at Fayetteville-Manlius high school, a neutral site, at 7pm.
