Temperatures are rising as the year shifts into the summer season.
With the heating rising in the area, the city of Cortland has announced opening dates for city pools and more.
According to the Cortland Youth Bureau (CYB), the splash pad at Suggett Park is open for the season. The splash pad is open 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. daily.
Yaman Beach typically opens in the month of May. Due to a shortage in lifeguards, the opening date for the city’s attraction off Kennedy Parkway is slated for June 5.
Yaman Beach will be open 3-7 p.m. Monday through Friday, and on the weekends from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.
The Wickwire pool is tentatively scheduled to open on June 24. Details surrounding the pool and the hours of operation have yet to be determined.
