High pressure will start to loosen its grip today as a small boundary drop southwest from northern New England.

The day will start off just like the other days this week with plenty of sunshine and quickly warming temperatures.

Afternoon highs will end up matching or exceeding yesterday, reaching the upper 80s in most areas.

The afternoon sky will have numerous puffy fair weather clouds bubble up, thanks in part to the approaching boundary but also because of an increase in humidity.

Dewpoints will increase into the 50s during the afternoon hours. While still a far cry from the usual, sticky summertime humidity, it will be an increase over the dewpoints in the 40s from the morning hours.

It will most likely not rain, but a stray shower or thunderstorm cannot be totally ruled out. The most likely time for one of these stray showers will be after 6 PM and through the evening hours.

The chances for a little rain will increase slightly towards dawn Saturday, but again, most areas will probably stay dry through the night.

Temperatures will remain mild overnight with lows barely getting under 60 degrees.

Here is a look at the weather for the next few days:

Saturday: Sun and clouds. A couple scattered showers early. Morning lows just under 60 degrees. Afternoon highs in the upper 70s.

Sunday: Sun and clouds. Morning lows in the mid 40s. Afternoon highs around 70.

Monday: Sun and clouds. Maybe some late showers. Morning lows in the mid 40s. Afternoon highs in the upper 60s.

Tuesday: Clouds, some sun, and perhaps a few showers. Morning lows in the mid 40s. Afternoon highs in the upper 60s.
