Unsettled weather will continue today as low pressure spins nearby.

Scattered showers will be possible at almost any time today, but the afternoon hours will be the most favored for shower development.

Like yesterday, the showers will mostly be small, hit-or-miss type showers. A few rumbles of thunder will also be possible, and a few of the showers may coalesce into a broader area of rain late in the afternoon.

All in all, most areas will see light rainfall amounts. A few areas may even get through the day without any measurable rainfall.

There should be some breaks of sun between the showers from time to time.

Winds will be from the northwest at around 5 mph. However, this should not mean more smoke from Canada, with winds over the fires less favorable for smoke in our area.

Temperatures will be in the low and mid 60s this afternoon, which is about ten degrees below average.

Tonight, showers will dissipate during the evening, leaving partly to mostly cloudy skies overnight.

Evening temperatures will slip into the upper 40s with an overnight low in the mid to perhaps locally low 40s.

Here is a look at the weather for the next few days:

Saturday: Sun and clouds. A few scattered showers, mostly early. Morning lows in the mid 40s. Afternoon highs in the low 70s.

Sunday: More clouds than sun. Morning lows in the mid 40s. Afternoon highs in the upper 70s.

Monday: Mostly cloudy with increasing rain showers. Morning lows in the mid 50s. Afternoon highs in the mid 70s.

Tuesday: Perhaps a lingering shower early. Sun and clouds. Morning lows in the mid 50s. Afternoon highs in the mid 70s.
