A subtle atmospheric boundary will be in the area today, leading to a bit more in the way of clouds and a few more scattered showers.

The morning hours should be rather dry with sunshine filtering in and out of varying amounts of mainly thin clouds higher in the atmosphere.

Beneath this layer of thin clouds, fair-weather clouds will develop as usual during the latter half of the morning and into the afternoon.

These clouds should be able to grow large enough to produce scattered showers and perhaps a couple rumbles of thunder. A few strong wind gusts will be possible in the largest, strongest cells, but severe weather is not expected.

Outside of those winds, a general easterly wind is expected today with speeds only around 5 mph.

Temperatures will work their way to around 80 degrees this afternoon. Evening temperatures will drop into the 60s and should slowly make their way into the mid 50s overnight.

The chances for showers will diminish by sunset, and only thin clouds will be present during the evening. These should gradually diminish and skies may become mostly clear before the night is over.

Here is a look at the weather for the next few days:

Wednesday: Sun and clouds. Morning lows in the mid 50s. Afternoon highs in the upper 70s.

Thursday: Sun and clouds. Morning lows in the mid 50s. Afternoon highs in the mid 70s.

Friday: Increasing clouds with some scattered afternoon showers. Morning lows in the mid 50s. Afternoon highs in the upper 70s.

Saturday: Scattered showers and thunderstorms. Morning lows in the low 60s. Afternoon highs in the upper 70s.
