A local man was arrested on Tuesday for stealing a jet ski and trailer, according to a report.
The New York State Police report stated that Benjamin C. Truitt, 28, of Marathon, stole the jet ski and trailer in April (2023) from a residence in the village of Marathon.
The report noted that Truitt hooked the trailer and jet ski to a vehicle, putting it in the backyard of another residence in the village. The trailer and jet ski were both returned to the owner, the report continued.
Truitt was charged with fourth-degree grand larceny, a Class-E Felony. He was processed, released and issued an appearance ticket for July 12 at the town of Marathon court.
