A man was arrested on Friday after an alleged incident at a business, according to a report.

The Cortland County Sheriff’s Office report stated that officers responded to an Auto Zone on Route 281 in the town of Cortlandville for an individual that allegedly “made verbal threats towards the employees.”

David P. Trapp, 41, of Cortlandville, allegedly damaged merchandise inside the store, the report continued.

Trapp, who had an outstanding warrant against him, provided a false identity to officers. Trapp fled from officers on foot, but was apprehended at a short distance, the report noted.

Trapp was charged with second-degree criminal impersonation, aggravated harassment and obstructing governmental administration – along with resisting arrest and fourth-degree criminal mischief.

He was released and now due to appear in Cortlandville town court at 1 p.m. July 10.
