County Drug Task Force: Three individuals arrested for possession of fentanyl, other drugs

The Cortland County Task Force executed a narcotics search warrant on Friday (Aug. 4), leading to the arrest of three individuals, according to a report.

The report stated that the county drug task force executed the warrant at a residence in the city of Cortland. According to the report, three individuals were inside the residence:

  • Nina C. Hopkins, 37, of Cortland
  • Mickayla M. O’Donnell, 27, of Marathon
  • Shane D. Willis, 44, of Marathon

The report noted that the three individuals were in possession of 14 grams of Cathinone (or “Molly”), 38 packages of fentanyl, packaging material, scales and undisclosed amount of cash.

According to the report, the street value of the drugs is over $1,000.

Hopkin, O’Donnell and Willis have each been charged with two counts of third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance (a Class-B Felony) – along with two counts of second-degree criminally using drug paraphernalia (a Class-A Misdemeanor).

The report stated that all three individuals have been processed at the county sheriff’s office. Each of them are currently awaiting arraignment, the report noted.
