A man was arrested on Friday following an alleged sexual abuse investigation, according to a report.

The Cortland County Sheriff’s Office report stated that Thomas D. Leonard, 52, of Cortland, was the center of alleged sex abuse allegations that occurred between May (2023) and August (2023) at an undisclosed residence in the town of Cortlandville.

According to the report, Leonard subjected a victim to “inappropriate sexual contact” on two occasions this year. The report continued by saying the victim knows Leonard.

Leonard was arrested on a warrant and charged with two counts of first-degree sex abuse (a Class-D Felony) and two counts of forcible touching (a Class-A Misdemeanor). He is due to appear in court at a later date.
