High pressure will move into the Great Lakes today, supplying our region with a sunny yet cool day.

North winds ahead of the high pressure will blow steadily through the day. Wind speeds will be less blustery than yesterday, coming in at 5-10 mph. Top gusts should be 20-25 mph.

Mostly cloudless skies are expected from start to finish thanks to the high pressure.

Most areas will end up just shy of 70 degrees this afternoon. A few of the higher elevations may not escape the mid 60s.

The high pressure will continue to build eastward tonight. Skies will remain clear and winds will become calm.

These will be ideal conditions for rapid cooling. Evening temperatures will fall through the 50s and overnight lows will end up in the mid 40s.

Here is a look at the weather for the next few days:

Friday: Mostly sunny. Morning lows in the mid 40s. Afternoon highs in the mid 70s.

Saturday: Sun and clouds. Small chance for a stray shower. Morning lows in the low 50s. Afternoon highs in the upper 70s.

Sunday: Sunny with a few fair weather clouds. Morning lows in the upper 50s. Afternoon highs in the low 80s.

Monday: Mostly sunny. Morning lows in the low 60s. Afternoon highs in the mid 80s.
