A man was arrested over the weekend after he stole items from an apartment, according to a report.
The City of Cortland Police Department report stated that Larry G. Payne, 35 of Cortland, entered an unlocked apartment door and stole several items from the apartment.
According to the report, the investigation led to video evidence and a description of Payne. He was found at a residence on Port Watson Street with the stolen items.
Payne was arrested on Saturday (Sept. 30) and charged with second-degree burglary (a Class-C Felony), and fourth-degree criminal possession of stolen property and grand larceny (Class-E Felonies).
Payne was arraigned, released and now due to appear in city court on Oct. 4.
