Today will be another quiet day without any major weather systems in the area.

In fact, there should even be a decent amount of sunshine today. At first, this will be filtered by some thin clouds, but these should gradually diminish. That will leave the afternoon with a mix of sun and clouds.

An approaching cold front will eventually lead to an increase in clouds, but that should hold off until after sunset. A few showers or flurries will accompany the front during the nighttime hours.

Winds will be steady from the west-northwest with speeds around or slightly above 10 mph. A few wind gusts may hit 30 mph.

The wind will keep temperatures a touch cooler than yesterday, but today will be much warmer than tomorrow.

Look for highs that will be near the seasonal averages in the upper 40s. A few hilltops in the northern part of the county may stay closer to 45 degrees.

Tonight, temperatures will dip to the upper 30s in the evening with a low in the low 30s.

Here is a look at the weather for the next few days:

Saturday: Mostly cloudy. A few showers and flurries in the morning. Morning lows in the low 30s. Afternoon highs near 40.

Sunday: Sun and clouds. Morning lows in the mid 20s. Afternoon highs near 40.

Monday: Sunshine likely. Morning lows in the mid and low 20s. Afternoon highs in the mid 40s.

Tuesday: Mostly cloudy with a few showers. Morning lows in the low 30s. Afternoon highs near 40.
