A weak weather system will slide through the area today with some scattered showers.

The most likely time for precipitation will be during the latter half of the morning and the first half of the afternoon. Scattered rain showers will be likely during this time, but it will not be raining constantly.

There is a small chance that a few wet snowflakes may mix in over the higher elevations.

Outside of the showers, the sun will try to poke out between the clouds. Sunshine will be most likely early on this morning and again as the sun sets this afternoon.

Winds will initially be from the southwest but will turn to the northwest and increase during the late morning. Northwest winds with speeds up to 15 mph are likely through the afternoon with a few gusts to around 30 mph.

High temperatures will mostly be near or slightly above 40 degrees. A few hilltops may stick to the upper 30s, while some southern areas may sneak into the mid 40s.

Tonight, skies will be partly cloudy to possibly mostly clear after midnight. Evening temperatures will drop through the 30s with overnight lows in the mid 20s.

Here is a look at the weather for the next few days:

Monday: Sunny with a few clouds, mainly late. Chilly. Morning lows in the mid 20s. Afternoon highs in the mid 30s.

Tuesday: Cloudy with rain late. Gusty to strong winds possible. Morning lows in the mid 20s. Afternoon highs in the low 40s.
