While the daytime hours today will be quiet, some light precipitation will move in this evening.

The best chance for some sunshine today will be during the morning hours. Even if there is not much in the way of blue sky, the clouds should be thin enough to allow some filtered sunlight through during the first half of the morning.

Clouds will increase and thicken later in the morning and into the afternoon. A few breaks of sun are not out of the question but will become less and less likely as the day goes on.

Precipitation should hold off until after sunset. Both rain and snow showers will be possible through the evening hours. The precipitation will be light, and on and off. No snow accumulations will occur.

Showers will continue overnight, favoring rain over snow. The overnight precipitation should be more sporadic than the evening precipitation.

Winds will be from the south and southeast today, gradually picking up speed. The strongest winds will come in the late afternoon and early evening with speeds just over 10 mph. A few hilltops may see gusts near 30 mph.

Temperatures will mainly be in the upper 30s to near 40 degrees. A few hilltops may stick to the mid 30s. There will be little change in temperature this evening with just a slight dip to the mid 30s near dawn.

Here is a look at the weather for the next few days:

Monday: Mostly cloudy with a few showers or flurries. Morning lows in the mid 30s. Afternoon highs in the upper 30s.

Tuesday: Occasional lake effect snow showers. Morning lows in the low 20s. Afternoon highs around 30.

Wednesday: A few early clouds and flurries, then some afternoon sun. Morning lows near 20. Afternoon highs in the low 30s.

Thursday: Sun and clouds. Morning lows in the mid 20s. Afternoon highs in the mid 30s.
