High pressure to our south will continue to deliver sunny skies and warming temperatures.

About the only cloud cover expected today will be some occasional thin clouds. These will do almost nothing to limit the amount of sunshine.

Southwest winds during the morning will gradually turn more westerly during the afternoon. The connection to warm air to our southwest will be steady despite the slight wind shift.

Wind speeds will be between 5-10 mph with top gusts only around 20 mph.

Afternoon highs will be well above average, topping out mainly in the upper 40s. A few of the northern hilltops may stick to the mid 40s.

Skies will remain partly to mostly clear this evening before clouds start to increase overnight. No precipitation will fall from any of these clouds, though.

Evening temperatures will drop into the mid 30s with overnight lows in the low 30s.

Here is a look at the weather for the next few days:

Saturday: Clouds with a few glimpses of sun. Morning lows in the low 30s. Afternoon highs in the low and mid 40s.

Sunday: Mostly cloudy. Showers after sunset. Morning lows in the mid 30s. Afternoon highs in the mid and upper 40s.

Monday: Periods of rain. Morning lows in the low 40s. Afternoon highs in the upper 40s.

Tuesday: Much colder with some snow showers. Temperatures in the mid to upper 20s most of the day.
