A small weather system will move through the area later today and tonight as warmer air pushes into the region.

Skies will be cloudy throughout the day. On the off chance that a little sun does peek out, it will do so early this morning.

Rain showers will not arrive until the middle to late afternoon. The rain will be scattered and showery.

As temperatures take an initial dip after sunset, there could be a few wet snowflakes or even a few ice pellets mixing with the rain. No accumulation or travel difficulties are expected.

Winds will be steady from the south with speeds greater than 5 mph, but less than 10 mph.

Afternoon highs will top out in the upper 30s with evening temperatures sliding back to the mid 30s. After that initial drop, temperatures will hold steady overnight.

Here is a look at the weather for the next few days:

Sunday: Mostly cloudy. A few showers early. Morning lows in the mid 30s. Afternoon highs in the low 40s.

Monday: More clouds than sun. Morning lows in the mid 30s. Afternoon highs in the mid and upper 40s.

Tuesday: Cloudy with a few late showers possible. Morning lows in the upper 30s. Afternoon highs in the upper 40s.

Wednesday: Cloudy with rain showers. Morning lows in the mid 40s. Afternoon highs in the upper 40s.
