A cold front will slide through the region late today, but not before another warm day.

Skies will be a mix of sun and clouds throughout the day, though clouds may be more prevalent than in the last few days.

As the cold front approaches this afternoon, scattered showers will develop. These will be most likely in the mid to late afternoon and into the early evening.

Most of the showers will be brief and light, but a couple may contain a few minutes of heavy rain. A rumble of thunder cannot be totally ruled out, even.

Southwest winds will blow with speeds up to 10 mph ahead of the front, ensuring temperatures stay warm. Afternoon highs should be in the low and even mid 50s.

The front will clear the area during the evening hours, turning winds to the northwest. Cooler air will build in with temperatures quickly falling through the 40s during the evening.

Overnight, skies will be mostly cloudy but the chances for precipitation should end. Low temperatures will make it down to the low 30s.

Here is a look at the weather for the next few days:

Sunday: More clouds than sun. Cooler. Morning lows in the low 30s. Afternoon highs in the upper 30s.

Monday: Some early sun. Increasing clouds with some late snow possible. Morning lows in the mid 20s. Afternoon highs in the upper 30s.

Tuesday: Sun and clouds. Morning lows in the mid 20s. Afternoon highs in the low 30s.

Wednesday: Sun, clouds, and a few flurries. Morning lows in the low 20s. Afternoon highs in the low 30s.
