Blotter: Driving while impaired by drugs, driving with a suspended license and more

The Cortland County Sheriff’s Office recently released arrest reports.

Below are the reports:

Kip J. Hoy

Hoy, 53, of Cortland, was arrested on Friday (March 1).

The county sheriff’s report stated that on Friday evening, officers conducted a traffic stop on McLean Road in Cortlandville.

According to the report, Hoy was driving while his ability was impaired by drugs and was found to be in possession of a controlled substance.

Hoy was charged with driving while ability impaired by drugs and seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance (misdemeanors), and failure to keep right and had no or inadequate lights (violations).

Hoy was arraigned, released and is now due to appear in court at a later date.

Jolena E. Raymond

Raymond, 53, of Cuyler, was arrested on Sunday (March 5).

The county sheriff’s report stated that on Sunday evening, officers conducted a traffic stop for Raymond on Route 41 in Cortlandville.

According to the report, Raymond was driving with a suspended license and found to be in possession of multiple controlled substances.

Raymond was charged with two counts of seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle (misdemeanors), and possession of a controlled substance by an ultimate users’ original container, failure to notify DMV of address change and deposited refuse on highway (violations).

Raymond was released and now due to appear in Cortlandville town court on March 18.

Alana M. Kroner

Kroner, 25, of Cortland, was arrested on Saturday (March 2).

The county sheriff’s report stated that a disabled vehicle stopped in the roadway on Clinton Avenue in Cortland was in an accident.

According to the report, Kroner, the driver of the vehicle, was found intoxicated. She was charged with driving while intoxicated (misdemeanor), driving with .08 or more of blood alcohol content (misdemeanor), and failure to use a designated lane (infraction).

Kroner was processed, released and now due to appear in Cortland city court on March 29.

Samuel R. Abbey

Abbey, 19, of Dryden, was arrested on Sunday (March 3).

The county sheriff’s report stated that officers conducted a traffic stop on Route 281 in Cortlandville.

According to the report, Abbey was driving under the influence of alcohol. He was charged with driving while intoxicated, driving with .08 or more of blood alcohol content (misdemeanors), and speeding in zone and the consumption of alcohol in a motor vehicle (violations).

Abbey was processed, released and now due to appear in Cortlandville town court on March 18.
