High pressure has built into the area behind yesterday’s late winter storm and will keep our weather quiet today.

The best chance for a few stray clouds will be this morning. Otherwise, skies will be clear and sunny throughout the day.

Winds will be out of the north today, but light. Speeds will be near or under 5 mph with top gusts only around 15 mph.

The northerly flow will keep temperatures down today. Afternoon highs will mostly be in the low 30s with a few pockets approaching 35 degrees.

Skies will remain clear tonight. With the full moon coming tomorrow and the fresh snow, it will be a bright night.

After a period of nearly calm winds early this evening, the wind will swing around to the east, then southeast overnight. Wind speeds will pick up to slightly over 5 mph.

Evening temperatures will quickly fall through the 20s and end up around 20 degrees by midnight. After midnight, the temperature will only drop another degree or two and may even rise back to near 20 before sunrise.

Here is a look at the weather for the next few days:

Monday: Sun and clouds. Morning lows near 20. Afternoon highs in the upper 40s.

Tuesday: A little sun filtered through thin overcast. Morning lows in the mid 20s. Afternoon highs in the mid 50s.

Wednesday: Rain showers, especially early. Morning lows in the upper 30s. Afternoon highs in the mid 50s.

Thursday: Sun and clouds. Morning lows in the mid 30s. Afternoon highs near 50.
