Temperatures will reach their high point for the week today before a cold front slides through tonight.

South winds ahead of the front will continue to import warmer air into the region. Wind speeds will be around 10 mph today.

Generally speaking, skies will be cloudy. There should be some breaks of sun here and there, though, especially in the late morning and early afternoon.

Rain showers lingering behind a nighttime warm front may stick around into the mid-morning hours today. Another batch of showers, this associated with the cold front, will move in this evening.

Temperatures will top out in the mid to perhaps upper 50s this afternoon.

Evening temperatures will quickly fall through the 40s this evening as winds turn to the northwest. By Thursday morning, temperatures will be in the mid 30s with a few lingering flurries possible.

Here is a look at the weather for the next few days:

Thursday: Sun filtered through some thin clouds. Maybe an early flurry. Morning lows in the mid 30s. Afternoon highs in the mid 40s.

Friday: Sun and clouds. Breezy. Morning lows in the upper 20s. Afternoon highs in the low 40s.

Saturday: Sun and clouds. Morning lows in the upper 20s. Afternoon highs in the mid 40s.
