McGraw’s Bassett records his 100th career strikeout as the Eagles beat George Junior Republic

The McGraw Eagles defeated George Junior Republic with a score of 21-0 at the Gutchess Lumber Sports Complex Tuesday afternoon. 

Not only did McGraw improve to an overall record of 4-1 after winning the game, but Jaydon Bassett also earned his 100th career strikeout thrown in the game. 

According to McGraw head coach Corey Wilson, “he (Bassett) was able to reach the milestone in the second inning.”

Bassett ended up throwing a total of 7 strikeouts after three innings pitching on the mound.

McGraw’s points were scored by Jaydon Bassett (4 runs, 3 hits), Calob Sutton (5 total runs, 2 home-runs, 3 hits & 2 RBI’s), Blair Mulcahy (4 runs. 3 hits & 3 RBI’s), Owen Mulcahy (1 run, 1 hit & 2 RBI’s), Foster Eaton (2 runs), Owen Lea (1 hit & 2 RBI’s), Liam Baker (1 run & 1 RBI), Easton Livermore (1 run), Brennan Wilson (1 run), Riley VanLiew (1 run), and Thomas Lea (1 run). 

McGraw pitchers Jaydon Bassett (7 strikeouts thrown), Thomas Lea (6 strikeouts thrown), and Brennan Wilson (2 strikeouts thrown) combined for a total of 15 strikeouts in the game.

McGraw’s next game is scheduled to be played against Otselic Valley-Cincinnatus at Otselic Valley high school this upcoming Friday (April 12th) at 4:30pm.
