County Sheriff’s Blotter: Kicking an officer, I-81 DWI and more

The Cortland County Sheriff’s Office recently released a handful of arrest reports.

Below are the reports:

Larae M. Green

Green, 48, of Massena, was arrested during the early-morning hours of Tuesday (April 23).

The county sheriff’s report stated that officers responded to Exit 9 off Interstate-81 southbound in the town of Marathon for a vehicle complaint.

According to the report, a vehicle was parked on the off-ramp and was still running. Green, who was inside the vehicle, was allegedly found to be driving while intoxicated. Green was also allegedly driving with a suspended license.

Green was charged with DWI and third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation (misdemeanors), and for parking on a highway and consumption of alcohol in a motor vehicle (violations). Green was processed, arraigned, released and is now due to appear in Marathon town court on May 9.

Brianna C. Brown

Brown, 22, of Homer, was arrested on Tuesday (April 23).

The county sheriff’s report stated that Brown allegedly interfered with an arrest by kicking an officer. The alleged incident with Brown occurred after officers attempted to take an “uncooperative male” into custody in the village of Homer.

According to the report, Brown fled on foot but was quickly taken into custody without incident. Brown was charged with resisting arrest (a misdemeanor) and second-degree harassment (a violation).

Brown was processed, released and is now due to appear for arraignment in Homer town court on May 7.

Jasmine R. Jones

Jones, 22, of Homer, was arrested on Monday (April 22).

The county sheriff’s report stated that Jones allegedly engaged in a physical altercation while in the presence of a child. Jones was charged with endangering the welfare of a child (a misdemeanor) and second-degree harassment (a violation).

Jones was arraigned, released and is now due to appear in Homer town court on May 21.
