A broad yet unorganized area of unsettled weather will move into the area today bringing cloudy skies and some showers.

Clouds should remain thick throughout the day, but the rain will be more hit or miss. Dry air in place will make it difficult for the rain to establish itself.

Still, showers will be possible at any time today. There should be a good deal of dry time mixing in as well, though. Prolonged, steady rain seems unlikely.

South-southeast winds will pick up speed, topping out at near or just over 10 mph. Top gusts may approach 30 mph.

Temperatures will make it into the low and mid 60s this afternoon.

There will be little change after sunset, with scattered showers and steady southerly winds persisting.

The chances for widespread, steady rainfall will increase during the predawn hours.

Evening temperatures will drop into the mid 50s with an overnight low in the upper 40s.

Here is a look at the weather for the next few days:

Sunday: Morning rain gradually tapering to afternoon showers, then ending. Morning lows in the upper 40s. Afternoon highs in the mid 50s.

Monday: A few early showers. Increasing afternoon sun. Morning lows in the low 50s. Afternoon highs in the upper 60s.

Tuesday: Sunny with a few thin clouds. Morning lows in the mid 40s. Afternoon highs in the mid 70s.

Wednesday: Scattered showers and thunderstorms. Morning lows in the mid 50s. Afternoon highs in the mid 70s.
