The McGraw Central School District presented its proposed 2024-25 budget at a hearing on Thursday.
McGraw school officials are projecting $16,560,265 in appropriations. Spending is projected to increase by 1.7% (or $277,270). The 2023-24 budget had $16,282,995 in appropriations.
The proposed tax levy increase is at 3.08%, which is over 2% less than the allowable tax levy limit (5.25%). According to McGraw acting superintendent Troy Bilodeau, the proposed budget increase will be offset by the projected tax levy and an increase of $81,376 in state aid.

The community will have an opportunity to vote on the proposed budget, and other propositions, from noon to 8 p.m. May 21 at McGraw High School. Details on all of the propositions can be viewed here.
