Weather conditions will gradually improve over the course of the day today as atmospheric pressure levels rise.

The day will start out cloudy and damp with occasional showers, areas of fog, and some drizzle. These should all gradually diminish through the morning hours.

During the afternoon, some new showers will pop up. These will be small and isolated, so not everyone will see additional rain this afternoon.

Eventually, some peaks of sun may poke out between the clouds. The clouds will continue to break up this evening and overnight with partly cloudy to mostly clear skies expected.

Only a stray lingering shower early in the evening is expected for nighttime precipitation.

Winds will be from the southeast at up to 10 mph during the morning but will weaken this afternoon. By the evening, winds should be nearly calm.

Temperatures will remain cool with a high in the mid 50s. Evening temperatures will drop into the 40s with a nighttime low in the low 40s.

Here is a look at the weather for the next few days:

Monday: Scattered showers and perhaps a thunderstorm. Morning lows in the low 40s. Afternoon highs in the mid 60s.

Tuesday: Periods of rain. Morning lows in the low 50s. Afternoon highs in the mid 60s.

Wednesday: Cloudy with lingering showers. Morning lows in the mid 50s. Afternoon highs in the mid 60s.
