A slow moving frontal boundary will hang around the region today, kicking up some afternoon and nighttime showers.

The morning hours should remain dry with a mix of sun and clouds.

South winds up to 10 mph will help temperatures warm quickly. By the early afternoon, mid 70s will be possible.

This will be enough to trigger afternoon showers and a few thunderstorms. It will not rain all afternoon, but there will be on and off activity to dodge.

No severe thunderstorms are expected.

Cloudy skies and occasional showers will continue into the evening and through the overnight.

Winds will generally remain southerly but may go calm for a time this afternoon and turn more to a south-southeasterly direction during the evening.

Once the rain begins during the afternoon, temperatures will settle in the low 70s. Evening temperatures will drop through the 60s and overnight lows will be around 55 degrees.

Here is a look at the weather for the next few days:

Wednesday: Cloudy with lingering showers. Morning lows in the mid 50s. Afternoon highs in the mid 60s.

Thursday: Sun and clouds. Maybe a morning shower. Morning lows in the low 50s. Afternoon highs in the low 70s.

Friday: Clouds, some sun, and a stray shower or two. Morning lows in the low 50s. Afternoon highs around 70.
