A weak, disorganized low pressure and its frontal boundary will slowly be replaced by high pressure today.

Because both the low passing through and the high building in are weak, there is a bit of uncertainty which system will have the upper hand.

How the rain today evolves, therefore, is less certain than usual, and much of the day could end up mainly dry.

That being said, rain showers are most likely during the morning hours, but stray showers cannot be ruled out at any time during the daytime hours.

On the flip side, breaks of sunshine will become more likely as the afternoon goes on.

None of the rain today should be heavy, but some of the showers in the morning could linger for a while.

Light south winds will blow through the morning and early afternoon. Later in the afternoon, the wind speeds will drop, even becoming nearly calm at times, and the wind direction will become variable.

Afternoon temperatures will top out mainly in the upper 60s with a few places reaching 70 degrees, especially if sun wins out over rain in the afternoon.

Tonight, skies will be partly cloudy, but areas of fog will form in the river valleys and other fog prone areas.

Evening temperatures will drop through the 60s with overnight lows in the mid to perhaps low 50s.

Here is a look at the weather for the next few days:

Sunday: Sun mixing with fair weather clouds. Maybe a stray shower. Morning lows in the low and mid 50s. Afternoon highs in the mid 70s.

Monday: Sun and clouds. Morning lows in the mid 50s. Afternoon highs near 80.

Tuesday: More sun than clouds. Morning lows in the mid 50s. Afternoon highs in the low 80s.

Wednesday: Sun and clouds. Late showers and storms possible. Morning lows in the upper 50s. Afternoon highs in the low 80s.
