Various projects on Groton Avenue continued to roll into this week.

According to Crown City Rising, underground infrastructure work continued on Monday (May 20). Crews with GDV are installing water mains between Graham Avenue and Otter Creek Place, while storm drainage installation continues between Homer Avenue and Otter Creek Place.

The update also reminded motorists to use the signed detour route for Groton Avenue.

Noted in the update, “Road closed signs mean there is an active work zone ahead and there is risk to drivers and workers. Local traffic only signs mean that drivers are accessing businesses and addresses in the immediate work zone. Do not use Groton Ave to bypass the signed detour route. This is dangerous for workers and motorists alike.”
