High pressure will build in with less humid air behind an early morning cold front.

The front will slide through with little fanfare. The only subtle note that the front is passing will be a shift in the wind direction to a northwest wind.

Clouds will depart by the mid-morning hours, leaving the rest of the day mostly sunny. There may be a few periods with some thin clouds from time to time.

The northwest wind will remain steady throughout the day, but with light speeds coming in around 5 mph.

Dewpoints, which were in the 60s yesterday and overnight, will drop into the low and mid 50s this afternoon. That will remove any muggy feeling to the air.

The actual temperature will remain warm, but not as hot, with highs topping out in the mid and upper 70s.

Tonight, a few thin clouds will continue to be possible, especially early on. Otherwise, skies will be mostly clear.

It will be a more comfortable night with evening temperatures falling through the 60s and overnight lows in the low and mid 50s.

Here is a look at the weather for the next few days:

Friday: Sunny with just a few clouds. Morning lows in the low and mid 50s. Afternoon highs in the upper 70s.

Saturday: Afternoon showers and storms possible. Morning lows in the mid 50s. Afternoon highs in the upper 70s.

Sunday: Clouds and some sun. Morning lows in the upper 50s. Afternoon highs in the mid 70s.

Monday: Afternoon showers and storms possible. Morning lows in the upper 50s. Afternoon highs in the low 70s.
