Individual gets arrested twice in two days (Sheriff’s Blotter)

An individual was recently arrested twice in a little over 24-hour window, according to a report.

Cortland County Sheriff’s reports stated that Wayne D. Eldred, 53, of Cortlandville, was arrested on Sunday (May 19) at 7:36 p.m. and Monday (May 20) at 10:29 p.m.

According to reports, officers on Sunday (May 20) responded to a domestic disturbance call on McLean Road in Cortlandville. Eldred, who left in a vehicle, was stopped by officers a short distance from the residence.

Reports stated that Eldred allegedly operated a vehicle while “his ability was impaired by alcohol and drugs.” He also allegedly had an open container and drugs in his possession.

Then, on Monday (May 19), reports noted that Eldred was arrested again for allegedly being in possession of drugs after officers responded to a civil complaint at the McLean Road residence for a second-straight day.

Charges that stemmed from Eldred’s Sunday arrest include driving while intoxicated, driving while ability impaired by alcohol and drugs and seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance (misdemeanors), and for consuming alcohol in a motor vehicle (infraction). Eldred also received a seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance charge from his arrest on Monday.

Eldred was arraigned and released from both arrests. He is due to appear in Cortlandville town court on June 3.

Uros Radoja

Radoja, 36, of Freeville, was arrested on Wednesday (May 22).

The county sheriff’s report stated that Radoja allegedly stole merchandise from the Walmart store in Cortlandville.

Radoja was charged with petit larceny, a misdemeanor. He was processed, released and is now due to appear in Cortlandville town court on June 10.
