Low pressure crossing southeastern Canada will lead to a wet and windy day across the region.

South-southeast winds will be gusty throughout the day. Wind speeds will be 15-20 mph with gusts as high as 40 mph.

Skies will be cloudy throughout the day, with the best chance for a glimpse of sunshine coming late in the afternoon.

Rain will be possible at almost any time. It will not rain all day, but multiple waves of precipitation are possible.

The most likely time for rain will be from the late morning hours through the mid afternoon. During this time, rain and thunderstorms will be off and on.

The activity has a chance to taper off during the late afternoon, but that is no guarantee and things may not settle down until after sunset.

Locally heavy downpours and minor flooding will be the main threats from these thunderstorms. Occasional lightning and a few strong thunderstorm wind gusts will also be possible.

A few more scattered showers will be possible during the evening and overnight, but most of the nighttime hours will be dry. Winds will also drop significantly after sunset.

Temperatures will mainly be in the low 70s today with evening temperatures dropping back to the mid 60s. Overnight lows will reach the mid 50s.

Here is a look at the weather for the next few days:
