June will start off quiet and mild as high pressure tracks south of the region.

There will be a gradual increase in thin clouds today. Some of the clouds may filter the sunshine at times. The later in the day, the less chance for the sun to shine brightly.

No rain is expected from any of these clouds, however.

Winds will be light today with variable wind directions. Wind speeds will be under 5 mph and may be calm at times.

Temperatures will warm into the mid 70s this afternoon. This is close to average for the first day of June.

Tonight, clouds will continue to increase and thicken. It should continue to remain dry, though, with no rain expected.

Evening temperatures will quickly fall through the 60s. However, it will not end up as cold as previous nights, with a low around 50 degrees.

A light south-southeast wind will develop overnight with speeds up to 5 mph.
