The weather pattern today will be rather non-descript with no nearby low or high pressure systems.

As a result, the daytime heating cycle will take over as the primary driver of our weather.

Sun and clouds will be with us for much of the day, with the best chance for fully sunny skies coming early in the morning and late in the afternoon.

During the afternoon hours, a few stray showers may bubble up. Any showers will be brief, and most areas will probably stay dry.

Winds will be light and variable and will oftentimes be calm.

Afternoon highs will reach the mid and upper 70s. Evening temperatures will slide back into the 60s.

Eventually tonight, thin clouds will build in from the west and a south wind will develop. Overnight lows will be in the mid 50s.

Here is a look at the weather for the next few days:

Tuesday: Sun and clouds. Maybe a stray afternoon shower or storm. Morning lows in the mid 50s. Afternoon highs in the low 80s.

Wednesday: Sun and clouds. Scattered afternoon showers and storms. Morning lows in the upper 50s. Afternoon highs in the upper 70s.

Thursday: Showers and storms likely. Morning lows in the low 60s. Afternoon highs in the upper 70s.

Friday: Showers likely. Morning lows in the mid 50s. Afternoon highs in the low 70s.
