Sheriff’s blotter: Car accident while impaired by drugs and more

The Cortland County Sheriff’s Office released reports for arrests that occurred in the past few days.

Below are the reports:

Phillip A. Mono

Mono, 46, of Marathon, was arrested on Thursday (May 30).

The county sheriff’s report stated that officers responded to a car accident on Divers Crossing Road in the town of Marathon. Mono, the driver of the vehicle, was allegedly “driving while his ability was impaired by drugs” and was in possession of drugs.

Mono was charged with driving while ability impaired by drugs, unlicensed operation, failure to keep right, driving across hazard markings and for moving from lane unsafely (violations), and for use of rented/leased/loaned vehicle without interlock vehicle and seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance (misdemeanors), and first-degree aggravated unlicensed operation (felony).

Mono was arraigned and sent to county jail without bail. He is due to appear in Marathon town court on June 13.

Ishyya R. Hicks

Hicks, 26, listed as homeless, was arrested on Sunday (June 2).

The county sheriff’s report stated that officers responded to a domestic incident in Cincinnatus. According to the report, Hicks allegedly violated an active order of protection.

Hicks was charged with second-degree criminal contempt (a Class-A Misdemeanor). He was released and is now due to appear in Cincinnatus town court on June 19.
