A cold front will move through the area today.

For the morning hours, skies will be mostly cloudy. Gradually, some sun may poke through the clouds. For the most part, though, the morning should be dry.

Scattered showers and a few light thunderstorms will pop up during the midday hours as the front moves through.

A few occasional showers or storms will continue to dot the region through the afternoon before dissipating early in the evening.

Not all areas will necessarily see rain, though.

Temperatures will warm to an afternoon high in the upper 70s.

Southwest winds this morning ahead of the front will turn to the northwest this afternoon behind the front. Wind speeds will be under 10 mph.

Evening temperatures will drop through the 60s with an overnight low in the mid to perhaps low 50s. Skies will be partly cloudy overnight.

Friday: Some occasional showers. Morning lows in the mid 50s. Afternoon highs in the upper 60s.

Saturday: Scattered showers. Morning lows in the upper 40s. Afternoon highs in the mid 60s.

Monday: Scattered showers, especially early. Morning lows in the upper 40s. Afternoon highs in the upper 60s.
