Sheriff’s Blotter: Larcenies, reports of a ‘disorderly subject’ and more

The Cortland County Sheriff’s Office made multiple arrests over the weekend.

Below are the reports:

Mason T. Shutts 

Shutts, 29, of Richford, was arrested on Friday (June 7).

The county sheriff’s report stated that officers responded to a “disorderly subject” call at the Lowe’s Home Improvement store in Cortlandville.

According to the report, Shutts allegedly drove his vehicle to Lowe’s in “an intoxicated condition.” 

Shutts was charged with driving while intoxicated and operating (a vehicle) while registration was suspended/revoked (misdemeanors). He was processed, arraigned, released and is now due to appear in Cortlandville town court at a later date.

Aleathia L. Duvall

Duvall, 60, of Ithaca, was arrested on Sunday (June 9).

The county sheriff’s report stated that Duvall allegedly stole merchandise from the Walmart store in Cortlandville. Duvall was charged with petit larceny – a misdemeanor.

Duvall was processed, released and is now due to appear in Cortlandville town court on June 24.

Ellen A. King

King, 61, of Solon, was arrested on Friday (June 7).

The county sheriff’s report stated that King allegedly stole merchandise from the Walmart store in Cortlandville. King was charged with petit larceny – a misdemeanor.

King was processed, released and is now due to appear in Cortlandville town court on June 27.
