The main entrance to Guthrie Cortland Medical Center is set to reopen, according to a release.

Starting Friday (June 14), the hospital’s main entrance will reopen. It marks the completion of Guthrie’s three-phase parking lot reconstruction project.

On Friday morning, patient and visitor traffic will return to the flow prior to construction. This includes:

  • Nursing and rehabilitation center entrance, for nursing home visitors and cardiac rehab patients.
  • Emergency department entrance, for patients seeking emergency care, as well as outpatients with appointments in the cardiology or pulmonology departments (located below the emergency department).
  • Main Entrance, which is for all other visitors and patients arriving for imaging, lab work or other office appointments, surgeries and other procedures.

Noted in the release, “We appreciate your patience over the last several months and hope you will see the benefits of all the changes which include more handicapped parking and a better environment for patients and visitors with mobility issues.

“Patients and visitors may see a few of the finishing touches to our landscaping in the coming days, as we complete the process of matching our exterior presence with the high-quality care and compassion delivered inside the hospital and affiliated Guthrie departments.”
