Day two of the heat wave will bake the region today as temperatures and humidity levels continue to climb.
Skies will be mostly sunny this morning with a few fair weather clouds bubbling up for the afternoon. Some occasional thin clouds will also be possible at times.
There is just a small chance for a stray shower or thunderstorm later in the afternoon.
Most areas will likely stay dry.
South winds will be light, providing little in the way of relief from the heat. Afternoon highs will be near or above 90 degrees for most of the region.
With dewpoints in the upper 60s, heat index values will be in the low to perhaps mid 90s.
Temperatures will slowly drop though the 80s and into the 70s this evening with skies turning mostly clear. Overnight lows will only be around 70 degrees.
Wednesday: Sun and clouds. Very hot. Morning lows near 70 degrees. Afternoon highs in the low 90s.
Thursday: Sun and clouds. Still very hot. Morning lows the upper 60s. Afternoon highs in the low and mid 90s.
Friday: Scattered showers and storms possible. Morning lows the upper 60s. Afternoon highs in the upper 80s.
Saturday: Scattered showers and storms possible. Morning lows in the mid 60s. Afternoon highs in the mid 80s.
