There will be little change in the weather today with a frontal boundary off to our north.

As subtle waves of atmospheric energy move along the front, a few stray showers and storms may be triggered across our area. These will be most likely during the peak heating hours of the afternoon.

Overall, though, the coverage of the storms should be sporadic, and many areas will probably not see rain.

As has been the case all week, though, any storms that pop will have a potential for frequent lightning, strong winds, and torrential rains possibly leading to localized flooding.

Winds during the day will be from the west with speeds around 5 mph. The wind may go mostly calm at times.

Temperatures will rise into the mid 80s with dewpoints remaining near or above 70 degrees.

Tonight, skies will be partly to mostly cloudy. A south wind will pick up, reaching speeds up to 10 mph. The wind will gradually jog towards a more southwesterly direction overnight.

Overnight temperatures will drop down to the upper 60s.

Sunday: Scattered showers and storms likely. Morning lows in the upper 60s. Afternoon highs in the mid 80s.

Monday: Scattered showers and a few storms. Morning lows in the low 60s. Afternoon highs in the mid 70s.

Tuesday: Mostly sunny. Morning lows in the mid 50s. Afternoon highs in the low 80s.

Wednesday: Showers and thunderstorms likely. Morning lows in the low 60s. Afternoon highs in the mid 80s.
