Low pressure will pull away from the region today, leading to brightening skies.

For the morning, expect a good deal of cloud cover and a few spits of rain. The earlier in the morning, the better the chances for rain showers.

Sunshine will start to poke through the clouds sometime in the late morning or early afternoon. The afternoon will then have a mix of sun and clouds before skies clear around sunset.

No additional rain is expected during the afternoon.

A steady northwest wind will blow with speeds around 10 mph. Wind gust will be around 25 mph.

These winds will bring in dry, cool air. Afternoon highs will be near or just above 70 degrees with dewpoints falling through the 50s and ending the afternoon in the 40s.

With clear skies overnight and wind speeds dropping, temperatures will be able to fall towards those late afternoon dewpoints.

Evening temperatures will quickly fall well into the 50s. Overnight lows will reach the mid 40s.

Here is a look at the weather for the next few days:

Friday: Sunny with some thin clouds late. Morning lows in the mid 40s. Afternoon highs in the mid 70s.

Saturday: Some morning showers, then afternoon showers and storms, possibly strong. Morning lows in the low 60s. Afternoon highs in the mid 70s.

Sunday: Scattered showers. Morning lows in the mid 60s. Afternoon highs in the mid 70s.

Monday: A few lingering showers. Morning lows in the mid 50s. Afternoon highs in the low 70s.
