Portion of paving completed in city parking lot; street in downtown area closed

A portion of paving is complete at the Groton Avenue parking lot, while reconstruction on Court Street has been begun.

According to an update from Crown City Rising, paving on the eastern half of the Groton Avenue parking lot, which can be accessed from Orchard Street, has finished. Construction crews are close to completing striping in that portion of the lot. However, parking is now available in that area.

The update stated that reconstruction of the western half of the Groton Avenue parking lot (near Hollywood Restaurant) will get underway soon. Access to the western half of the lot from Groton Avenue is closed.

According to the update, Court Street from Main Street from Main Street to Church Street is closed today (June 27) and Friday (June 28).
