High pressure will pass overhead this morning then track east of the region this afternoon.

Clear skies and calm winds have the area starting off cool this morning with some patchy fog. The fog will burn off quickly, leaving mostly sunny skies for most of the remainder of the daytime hours.

Late in the afternoon, some thin clouds will start to move in from the west. These will increase and thicken during the evening and overnight.

There may even be a few showers about before the sun rises tomorrow morning.

As the high pressure system tracks east, winds will turn to the southeast on its backside. Wind speeds will be near or slightly over 5 mph.

The southerly flow and sunshine will give temperatures a nudge upwards with highs in the mid 70s.

Tonight will not be as cool thanks to the southerly flow and increasing clouds. Evening temperatures will fall back into the 60s with an overnight low in the upper 50s.

Here is a look at the weather for the next few days:

Saturday: Some morning showers, then afternoon showers and storms, a couple possibly strong. Morning lows in the upper 50s. Afternoon highs in the mid 70s.

Sunday: Scattered showers. Morning lows in the mid 60s. Afternoon highs in the mid 70s.

Monday: A few lingering showers. Morning lows in the mid 50s. Afternoon highs in the low 70s.

Tuesday: Mostly sunny with a few late clouds. Morning lows near 50. Afternoon highs in the upper 70s.
