High pressure will build into the region today with quiet weather conditions.

Generally speaking, the morning will be cloudier than the afternoon as sunshine gradually increases through the day.

There will be some sun poking between clouds during the morning, and a few lingering clouds will likely last well into the afternoon.

No rain is expected, however, and skies should end the day clear. Clear skies are likely tonight, with some patchy fog possible after midnight.

Winds will be from the north today. Wind speeds will be slightly higher in the morning, coming in just over 10 mph.

Afternoon winds speeds will be around or just under 10 mph. Top gusts on the day will approach 30 mph.

High temperatures this afternoon will be around 70 degrees. Some higher elevations may not quite make it to 70, while warmer valley locations will push a couple degrees above 70.

Tonight, temperatures will fall steadily beneath the clear skies and calming winds. Evening temperatures will slip into the 50s with an overnight low reaching the upper 40s.

Here is a look at the weather for the next few days:

Tuesday: Sunshine mixing with thin clouds. Morning lows in the upper 40s. Afternoon highs in the upper 70s.

Wednesday: Sun, clouds, and a few late storms possible. Morning lows in the upper 50s. Afternoon highs in the low 80s.
