Tompkins Cortland Community College has been awarded a $15,000 grant from the Owego-based Mildred Faulkner Truman Foundation.

Cortland will receive $2 million to construct new pedestrian and bicycle connections from SUNY Cortland to Yaman Park, located on Kennedy Parkway.

A special state grant of $55,000 was awarded to the Cortland YWCA’s Here We Grow Child Care Center.

The expansion was made possible by a new state Education Department program, called My Brother’s Keeper Teacher Opportunity Corps (TOC).
