The National Weather Service is calling it a "very complex, potentially high impact" winter storm.

It snowed for 51 consecutive hours in Cortland, beginning 8 a.m. Sunday and lasting through 11 a.m. Tuesday.

The central New York storm caught the attention of ABC News, who sent reporter Gio Benitez to Cortland to report live on World News Tonight.

Fourteen inches of snow has fallen in Cortland County as central New York continues to grapple with a major snowstorm.
